NEW INVESTMENT FOR WEM INDUSTRIAL ESTATE

Pooks Commercial Property Consultants report plans for a major investment in the infrastructure of Wem Industrial Estate at Soulton Road on the outskirts of the town [SY4 5SD] following its purchase by Dencora Securities Limited of Berkshire from Evans Easyspace earlier this year.

Totalling about 60,000 sq ft on a total site area of about 58 acres, the Estate is home to a diverse range of over 40 manufacturing and distribution concerns, most of whom have been operating from the Estate for many years.

Pooks have been appointed as agents for the new owners and are currently marketing a variety of vacant units to let, a typical size being about 350 sq m (3,400 sq ft) at a very competitive rent of £6,300 per annum excusive. Space is available on flexible lease terms, with no long-term tenant’s commitment needed.

The owners are planning a significant amount of new investment in the Estate, including improvements to the roads and services, landscaping and re-arrangement of units to give a more convenient and accessible tone.

As the largest employment site in the Wem area, the new owners intend to work with North Shropshire District Council and Shropshire County Council to create further employment and business opportunities for local firms.
