Comprising two identical office buildings of four suites each, Building 1 is part let to Shropshire County PCT and Bryn Melyn Care, and Building 2 is vacant and in a shell state ready to be fitted-out.
These modern two-storey detached buildings each total about 300 sq m (3,228 sq ft) and have the benefit of 27 car parking spaces and were available as one lot at a price of around £575,000.
The sale attracted considerable interest from investors and owner-occupiers both as a whole and two separate buildings. The premises were eventually sold as a whole to reflect their present condition by way of best and final offers.
Steven Evans, who handled the sale on behalf of pension fund clients, commented "in spite of the current economic climate this sale shows that there is still considerable demand for freehold properties in Shrewsbury with a number of cash purchasers in the market for premises. Also, while the banks are maintaining a prudent approach, they do appear to be lending to those purchasers with sizeable deposits".
