Pooks Commercial Property Consultants report a new letting at Whitehall, Monkmoor Road, Shrewsbury, SY2 5DR to Shropshire Council.

The offices will house various council departments over four floors, with the space totalling approximately 23,000 sq ft.

Alessio Dyfnallt of Pooks said "...this represents the largest office letting in Shrewsbury since early 2008, when the former Shropshire County Council took 17,000 sq ft of offices at the Ptarmigan Building, Shrewsbury Business Park. Recent lettings to Shropshire Primary Care Trust (9,000 sq ft) and NFU Mutual (3,000 sq ft) at Whitehall and Shrewsbury Business Park respectively, demonstrate that there is still a demand for large offices in Shrewsbury. The sale of another office development, Charlesworth Court in Battlefield, last month also suggests that the investor market is picking up speed too."

There is now just 6,000 sq ft remaining at Whitehall, while Shrewsbury Business Park can offer a range of offices from 1,000 sq ft up to 18,000 sq ft.
