ECO FRIENDLY OFFICES IN LUDLOW

Sherpa Properties report that work has just started on the first phase of their Business Quarter development at Ludlow Eco Park, based next to the A49 at Sheet Road on the outskirts of the town. In keeping with the town development brief, the development has been designed to achieve an 'Excellent' rating by the Building Research Establishment. Predominantly this means that the offices will be among the most energy efficient and will be built using sustainable materials. Apart from solar assisted heating and rainwater harvesting, more simple principles are also used such as additional insulation (to keep the heat in during winter) and brise soleil (to keep the heat out in summer).

The first units of this office scheme will be ready for occupation in May. It is anticipated that when this 2,230 sq m site is completed it will provide workspace for about 175 jobs. Sale prices start at £175,000, dependent upon size and specification.
