The first MacMillan Coracle Challenge was held on 8 June on the River Severn at the Quarry Park and turned out to be a fantastic event.

The Pooks team came 3rd out of six in our heat with a solid effort by all members. Whilst this wasn't good enough to take us through to the next round we all stayed dry and enjoyed a drink in the sunshine afterwards; watching the other teams battle it out.

We would like to extend our thanks to all those who sponsored us. The pledges we received were so generous and we are hoping to raise close to £1,000 in all for MacMillan Cancer Support, double our first estimate!
