Pooks Commercial Property Consultants report that work is well under way with the construction of Bering House at Shrewsbury Business Park [SY2 6LG] [sketches] upon which they have received instructions from the developers, Alaska Property Group, to let.

This imposing and distinctive office building, totalling about 670 sq m (7,000 sq ft) offers space arranged on two principal floors, with additional accommodation at second floor level suitable for conference or meeting rooms taking advantage of fine views across the Park. With comfort cooling, lift, raised access floors and 39 parking spaces, Bering House will offer high specification workspace suitable for professional or commercial concerns. Depending on the preferred internal layout, it will provide accommodation for up to 60 people and will be ready for occupation in the Autumn.

The building contractors are Matrix Construction and the Architects Dryburgh Gillian Associates, both of Shrewsbury.

Bering House is prominently situated next to the main entrance to Shrewsbury Business Park - now having a total workforce of around 750 people - with good access to the A5/M54.

Alan Hay of Alaska said "Bering House is the start of Phase II of Shrewsbury Business Park, which is being jointly developed with Shropshire County Council. The building’s distinctive profile is already attracting occupier interest".

Bering House is available on a new lease at a rent of around £100,000 per annum. More detailed information is available from the letting agents Pooks 01743 276633 (Charles Howell).
